Vittorio Emanuele Falsitta was a speaker at the conference "Technical Thinking and Capitalism. Reflections on the evolution of a complicated relationship". The meeting was held in the Vatican on 28 September 2023 at the Casina di Pio IV, home of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences. Together with Falsitta, speakers included Ernesto Maria Ruffini, Stefano Zamagni and Riccardo Pozzo. The event was organised by the European University of Rome and the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University under the patronage of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences and the Ministry of Defence.
The aim of the initiative: to launch a debate on the evolution and future of human society in relation to the effects of the exponential acceleration of technology, combined with the current forces and rules of capitalism. Have we reached the unavoidable establishment of the age of Technology, and of technical thinking overtaking that of man?
